modified clutch kit (13 discs) for forward clutch - should be used to avoid judder at take off, for 7-disc clutch - contains 7 friction and 6 steel discs (end disc not included) - The 7-plate-friction kit shall be used for all Diesel engine vehicles and also for vehicles with petrol engines from 2,5 litres and more.

If a Diesel engine vehicle or a petrol engine vehicle with 2.5 litres and more was equipeed originally with a 6-friction-clutch, and the rebuilder wants to fit it with the 7-friction clutch, then a recalabration of the PCM (Power Control Module) has to be made - this can be done only by the VW or Audi dealer.
