friction disc, inner teeth

OEM single sided friction disc - supplier info: thickness 0,063" / 1,60 mm - 36 internal teeth - outer diameter 6,803" / 172,8 mm - inner diameter 5,791" / 147,1 mm - grey friction material - grooved - 1999-up (2nd coast clutch 1999-2001 only)

During the end of 2001 and beginning 2002 the friction disc for 2nd coast was changed from O-FRD-5L40E-DC/2CO/LR-IT to O-FRD-5L40E-2CO-IT - as not all vehicles / transmissions were changed at the same date, please check carefully for vehicles/transmissions from that period which friction disc is required for your job.

The friction disc with inner teeth for the direct clutch and low reverse clutch remained the same as far as we know.

4L40E uses 4 of these discs in direct clutch and 5 pcs, in low/reverse clutch - 4L40E does not have a 2nd coast clutch
5L40E, 5L50E use 3 of these discs in 2nd coast clutch and 4 in direct clutch and 5 in low/reverse clutch (BMW X5 3,0l Diesel uses 5 pcs. in direct clutch and 6 pcs. in low/reverse clutch)
